Wight Forces were delighted to be invited to spend time with residents at Vecta House recently, bringing together veterans to share stories and memories from their time in the armed services.
Five supporters from Wight Forces kindly gave up their time to meet with resident veterans, creating a relaxed and welcoming space for conversation. Throughout the visit, the group exchanged experiences from their years in service, with plenty of laughter and good-natured banter filling the room.
The afternoon offered a wonderful opportunity for veterans to connect with others who share similar experiences, reflecting on their time in the forces and enjoying each other’s company.
The visit ended in true British fashion, with everyone gathering for a well-earned cup of tea and some cake – the perfect way to round off a memorable afternoon.
Wight Forces said it was a privilege to spend time with the residents and hear their stories, and they look forward to future opportunities to reconnect with the veteran community on the Isle of Wight.
