Wight Forces is dedicated to supporting service leavers transitioning to civilian life, building a local network for military families, hosting events that honour military occasions, and providing connection and celebration for military children living on the Isle of Wight.

What We Stand For

Wight Forces was founded by Mandy and Sarah, two colleagues turned close friends who came together with a shared passion to support the Isle of Wight’s Armed Forces community through personal experience, compassion, and a drive to make a difference.

🧸 Teddy Bear’s Picnic

Saturday 13th June 2026 - 1400 to 1600
Join us for a Teddy Bear’s Picnic at Victoria Recreation Ground, Newport (if wet, the event will be held in the pavilion). An afternoon of fun for little ones! Free for military children, £5 for all others. Ages 0–12.

Saturday 20th June 2026 - 1000 to 1200
This is a great opportunity to meet other members of the Island’s armed forces community over a brew and some friendly banter. Come along and join us!
